A late November wedding in Ohio on the day of “the game” provided the backdrop for a beautiful wedding day for Jeff and Audrey at Brookside Farm in Louisville, Ohio. While their special day may have marked the close of our 2016 wedding season, we could not have asked for a better end to our year. Although we’ve photographed previously at Brookside, Jeff and Audrey’s wedding was our first opportunity to take pictures of a ceremony in the “Chapel.” While the weather for the day was a bit on the chilly side for outdoor shots, the bridesmaids came well prepared with grey shawls to keep warm, and Jeff and Audrey were troopers and set the tone for some wonderful portraits in spite of the cool temps.
While many guests (including a number of out-of-town visitors from Michigan) may have been glancing at their phones and sharing the latest updates on the big game, all in attendance were treated to many special touches throughout the day. Beautiful bouquets were provided by the Bouquet Studio in North Lawrence, Ohio. Hair and make-up services were provided by Erica and Jamie from Beauty Therapy which has always done an outstanding job. As guests settled in to the reception after the ceremony, they enjoyed their evening on tables draped in cream tablecloths and decorated with gold votive candles, gold lanterns, and small glass vases filled with white roses. Overhead – chandeliers were hung from the ceiling and provided a warm and elegant ambience for the meal and celebration.
As a unique end to their wedding meal, Jeff and Audrey cut a pie instead of a wedding cake, and guests had their choice from a table filled with numerous delicious varieties of pie from the Hartville Kitchen. The pies were truly a sweet ending to a lovely day, and we wish all the best to Jeff and Audrey as they go forward as husband and wife!
