Tumi and Sadie braved the elements for their fall outdoor wedding at Stan Hywet, but thankfully the rain stopped at the perfect time to allow their ceremony to proceed on the grounds of the estate. Even though it was a cold and rainy day, we were still able to capture some great portraits around the grounds and gardens.
The wedding day had an international flair – Tumi is Nigerian, and Sadie is Jamaican – they had guests come from all four corners of the earth to attend their celebration. Their family, friends, and guests represented many different cultures, and the global feel was well represented by the varieties of fashion and musical styles that were on display throughout the day. Sadie and her girls carried beautiful flowers arranged by Nikki’s Perfect Petal Designs, and the wedding ceremony itself was officiated under an elegant arch provided by re Inspired Bride.
After the ceremony and portraits at Stan Hywet, the party moved to a reception held at the Hilton in Fairlawn. The hall was beautifully decorated with gold chargers at each place setting, brilliant red napkins, and charming floral arrangements on each table. Toward the end of the evening, Tumi, Sadie, and their entire wedding party left the room, and came back clothed in traditional Nigerian attire. They danced long into the evening as their friends and family showered them with money in a lovely show of generosity and affection. We had a wonderful time with Tumi and Sadie – they make a great couple, and were incredibly sweet and appreciative throughout the day. We wish them all happiness as they begin their married life together!
